Hello, my name is Glenna Geralds and I serve as the FRC coordinator. I graduated from WKU with a Bachelor's Degree in General Studies in 1993. I am married to Tommy Geralds and have two sons, Dillon & Gavin.
I want to let you know a little about how the center operates. I serve the students at GES on Mon, Wed, & Fri. and at JHC on Tues. & Thurs. The program is funded through a grant, based on free and reduced lunch counts at each school. There are state mandated components that must be met while serving the students, and any child that comes to the center with a need will be taken care of. Some of the events that I work with are Open House, Red Ribbon Week, Grandparents Day, Grandparents Raising Grandchildren, Safety programs, a school clothes closet, school supplies ,and programs for students outside school hours. These are just a few of the programs I do. I really enjoy working with the children, families and community.
I often get ask what do you do? My response is, I'm just like a mom that stays at school all day to help you. My main goal is to remove any barrier that keeps a student from doing their best in school!
