Jon Michael Clemmons Named Principal

Mr. Jon Michael Clemmons has been named new principal at the middle school after the departure of Mr. Tony Harlan. Mr. Harlan has accepted a position at the central office. Mr. Clemmons is no stranger to the middle school. He was a teacher for seven years before going to Gamliel Elementary as assistant principal at the beginning of the 2014-15 school year. We are excited to have Mr. Clemmons back in our building and look forward to continuing a successful school year.

A Giving Tree

MCMS students are participating in a service learning project: a Giving Tree. Staff and students are asked to bring items such as hats, gloves, socks, sweatshirts, t-shirts, food, games, hygiene products, or blankets to place on and under the tree. The week before Christmas break, the items will be distributed to our students in need. We invite the community to help with our project too.

All-District Band

Nine students auditioned for the 2015 Third-District All-District Band. Students from across the region compete for chair selection. We are extremely proud of our students significant accomplishment.  The band will perform on January 8-10, 2015 at WKU.

Kalie Hill - 1st Chair Alto Saxophone;  Brandon Walker - 3rd Chair Flute;  Kennedy Thurman - 10th Chair Flute;  Austin Rhoton - 4th Chair Clarinet;  Jenna Bowe - 10th Chair Trumpet.
