KYA (Kentucky Youth Assembly)

Eighteen students traveled to Frankfort to participate in Kentucky Youth Assembly. Delegates will present bills, debate bills, and vote on bills. MCMS students had their bill passed by both the House and Senate and signed by the Governor. Congratulations to Dalton Hodges, Graham Stephens, and Sawyer Cherry. Their bill required food stamp recipients to be drug tested annually. Keep in mind, these bills have been written by students and have been voted on by students.
