Work Ready KY Scholarship Opportunities at SKYCTC

Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College is excited to share the announcement of the Work Ready Kentucky Scholarship which is available for the 2017-18 academic year. High school seniors who will be attending SKYCTC for the fall semester or may be considering other options still have time to invest in their future! We’re here to help you help them! SKYCTC offers program majors for each of the identified high-wage, high-demand careers: Advanced Manufacturing, Business Services/Information Technology, Construction, Healthcare, and Transportation/Logistics.
 
The Work Ready Kentucky Scholarship provides free tuition for certificate and diploma programs in five career paths that are considered high-wage, high-demand in Kentucky. The eligible programs are: Advanced Manufacturing, Business Services/Information Technology, Construction, Healthcare, and Transportation/Logistics. The scholarship may cover up to 32 credit hours.
 
 
To be eligible, you must:
·      Be enrolled or accepted for enrollment at an eligible Kentucky college or university in an approved program
·      Be a Kentucky resident
·      Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
·      Be a high school or GED graduate
·      Have not earned an associate’s degree or higher
·      Not be in default on any obligation to KHEAA
 
The scholarship will be administered by the Kentucky Higher Education Assistance Authority (KHEAA) and students must file a Free Application for Financial Aid (FAFSA) before applying for the WRKS. The FAFSA form is available at www.fafsa.gov and the WRKS application can be found at www.kheaa.com.
