THE 5TH Annual College and Career Fair will be held Wednesday, March 14th from 8:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. We would love to have you participate, as we value the opportunity for our students to network with community members and expose them to the wide variety of jobs that are available in the area.
If you plan to participate, we ask that you bring along any relevant information or tools of the trade that you can share with the students that day. As you talk with the students during the fair, please share any personal stories or information you feel would help them understand the importance of having plans after high school.
Tables will be provided for you along with a sign showing your name and job title. You may want to bring your own table cloth. Set up will begin at 8:00 a.m. Last year some participants asked to bring candy, pens, pencils, gum, etc… to pass out to students; you are welcome to do so if you would like.
Students in grades 8 – 12 will be attending the fair. No elementary or young middle school students will be attending this year. There are approximately 600 high school students and approximately 150 8th grade students who will be invited to attend. Closer to the time, I will email a finalized agenda for the day so that you can plan accordingly. Just like last year, we will be providing lunch for you that day!
We certainly hope that you will be able to attend this year’s college and career fair. If you are willing to participate, please Click here to register. You may also register by contacting the school at 270-487-6217, just be sure to ask for Mitzi Holland or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. We ask that you RSVP by Friday, March 2nd, so that we can inform our students of your attendance.
