The Academic Team competed in District Governor’s Cup on Saturday, January 18th at Cumberland County Middle School.
Jack Holland placed 1st in Social Studies with an outstanding score of 45/50.
Eli Pitcock placed 4th in Social Studies.
Mason Walker placed 5th in Social Studies.
Jade Madison Turner placed 3rd in Mathematics.
Kason Wright placed 4th in Science.
Timmy Crowe placed 5th in Science.
Leah Emberton placed 5th in Science.
Atiana Spivey placed 1st in Arts & Humanities.
Pyper Scott placed 3rd in Arts & Humanities.
Atiana Spivey placed 1st in Composition Writing.
Alyson Cunningham placed 3rd in a Composition Writing.
The Quick Recall team advanced to the finals and received overall runner up.
After all the accolades were calculated, the Monroe County Middle School received 2nd place in the District Governor’s Cup!
The composition team will compete Monday at Science Hill, while the quick recall team and test takers will compete Saturday, February 1st at Science Hill. Best of luck to all competitors!
