To take Digital Literacy or Microsoft Office as dual credit course with SKYCTC, you will have to have qualifying entrance exam scores.
Those scores include:
2.5 high school GPA (10th-12th grades only) (All dual credit classes)
TABE A benchmarks: 10.0 in Reading (Only for Digital Literacy and Microsoft Office)
If you have taken the ACT and have a 16 in Reading, please bring a copy of this report to the ATC office and you will not need any other testing. If you haven't taken the ACT or don't have a qualifying score, you will need to take the test when SKYCTC comes to Monroe County on May 3rd. If you miss this testing date, you must schedule testing on your own at SKYCTC and provide your own transportation.
NOTE: You are not eligible for dual credit without meeting the prerequisite requirements. THIS IS SKYCTC's RULE. You may still take the course through Monroe County ATC--but it will be for high school credit only. After you've had Digital Literacy and Microsoft Office for dual credit, you will also be eligible for Medical office and Office Administration for dual credit. It's important to know that you will only get those classes if you've had the others for dual credit as well. (Office Administration DC only requires Digital Literacy DC).
SKYCTC recommends students to practice prior to testing and this is the link to that practice exam:
