Jessica McPherson
Principal

Welcome to Gamaliel Elementary School! My name is Jessica McPherson and I would like to begin by saying what a privilege it is to serve as the principal of Gamaliel Elementary School. It is truly an honor to have this opportunity and I look forward to leading this wonderful school. Prior to becoming principal, I was the assistant principal at GES for three and a half years and taught 4th and 5th- grade mathematics for five and a half years. This will be my fourth year being the principal at GES.
I have lived in Monroe county my entire life and graduated from Monroe County High School in 2004. I went on to earn my bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Western Kentucky University. I also have a master's degree in teacher leadership and a rank I in education administration. I have one son, Jholdi Brooks, who graduated from Monroe County High school and is now a sophomore at Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College.
If you are ever unsure about something, please do not hesitate to contact the school. It is our goal to keep you informed about your child’s progress and the events that are taking place in our school. I wholeheartedly believe that communication between our school and our families is vital to the success of our students. If you ever have a concern, please contact us. We are unable to solve problems that we are not aware of and we want all of our students to have a safe, happy learning environment at GES.
I am very excited about this school year. I look forward to working with each of you to help your child reach their highest potential.
Ms. Jessica McPherson
