Kari Langford
Assistant Principal

Principal

Welcome to Tompkinsville Elementary School! My name is Kari (Brown) Langford and I would like to begin by saying what a privilege it is to serve as the principal of Tompkinsville Elementary School. It is truly an honor to have this opportunity and I look forward to leading this amazing school. Prior to becoming principal, I was the Assistant Principal at TES for 8 years and taught 5th grade math for 9 years.

I have lived in Monroe County since I was 10 years old. My father was born and raised in Monroe County and we moved back to his hometown.  I graduated from Monroe County High School in 2000 and married my high school sweetheart in 2001. I went on to earn my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Western Kentucky University. I also have a Master’s Degree in Counseling and a Rank 1 Degree in Administration. I have two children, Kelsie (19 years old) who is pursuing a degree in Respiratory Therapy and Nolan (14 years old) who attends Monroe County Middle School.

If you are ever unsure about something, please do not hesitate to contact the school. It is our goal to keep you informed about your child’s progress and the events that are taking place. I wholeheartedly believe that communication between our school and our families is vital to the success of our students. If you ever have a concern, please contact us. We are unable to solve problems that we are not aware of and we want all of our students to have a safe, happy learning environment at TES.

I am very excited about this school year! I look forward to working with each of you to help your child reach their full potential.

Mrs. Kari Langford
