Day One -

I see that a lot of you are working hard on your Reading Plus and Lexia.  To clear up some confusion for Reading Plus you do not have to make an 80 or above on a SeeReader, you only have to COMPLETE two lessons.  Sorry for the confusion about that.  If you are on Lexia and having trouble getting to the website try MyLexia.com and see if that takes you to the correct website.

Day Two -

I have been in contact with some of you and hope you are enjoying your days off.  The snow is absolutely beautiful.  I have emailed all of your first period teachers to let them know who completed Day One lessons and minutes for Reading Plus and Lexia.

Day Three-

Keep up the good work on Reading Plus/Lexia.  If you choose to complete another assignment remember to email it or turn it in to your first period teacher.  Stay safe and warm on this third MCSD@Home day.

Day Four -

Everyone is working hard, we have had a lot of students complete their Reading Plus/Lexia.  Remember that this is only one option in your packet and be sure to be completing an assignment from each row every day.  Hopefully we will be back to school soon.  I miss seeing all of you!  Feel free to email pictures of you working and I will send them on to Mrs. Thompson.

Day Five -

The snow seems to be disappearing.  I am anxious to get back to school to see all of you.  I am very impressed with all of you that continue to do your reading plus and Lexia each day.  There have been several of you level up.  That means a PIZZA party for you when we return.  Today, work on day 5 of your packet and as always, if you have any questions rouble with anything feel free to email me.

Day Six -

Today, everyone should be working on Day 6 of their packet.  If you are having any trouble at all with your work, feel free to contact me by email and I will get with you to help you.   If your child hasn't logged into Reading Plus or Lexia during this time, I would strongly encourage them to do so.  These programs have been designed to target specific skills needed to improve students' reading comprehension, fluency, and vocabulary.  If nothing more, have them to log in and show you where they are in their progress.  Many students are very close to moving up a grade level in their reading.  Typically, we go to the lab once a week to work only on these skills; however, we will not be able to go this week.

Day Seven -

Not a huge amount of snow, but it is oh so cold!  I hope everyone is working hard on there Sharpen the Saw work.  Karidee's assignments seemed much more fun than some of the other's.  I hope you all enjoyed doing them.  Remember that you need to complete two assignments in reading plus or study island for them to count.  Stay warm!

Day Eight -

Today is day 8 of your packet.  We are reaching the end of it.  Hopefully, we won't go over our ten days but I love that we had these ten to work with and not have to make up.  I hope all of you are working hard and are getting your work completed.  If you have any questions at all you can contact me at ashlee.mcclendon@monroe.kyschools.us.
